SUMMARY:BRIC Clinical and Translational Research Meetings - 01-10-2026
DESCRIPTION:BRIC is organizing a half-day event dedicated to clinical and translational research on Thursday\, October 1\, 2026\, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.\, in the ground-floor lecture hall of the BBS\, in collaboration with the Bergonié Institute and the Bordeaux University Hospital.  \nThe purpose of this afternoon is to raise awareness of the role of clinical and translational research within our unit. It will feature presentations by BRIC clinicians as well as Master’s 2 students supervised by the teams\, in order to illustrate the diversity of career paths\, themes\, and approaches developed at the intersection of clinical practice and research. For younger students\, we will also present the master’s degree programs in “Cancer Biology” and “Health Innovation—Oncology Track.” \nBeyond the presentation of projects\, this meeting also aims to demonstrate how clinical and translational research can be integrated with more fundamental research\, and to foster discussions about these synergies within BRIC. \nThis half-day event will also provide an opportunity to highlight the discussions and work carried out within the Patients and Society group. \n  \nPre-program \n  \nWe hope to see many of you there for this opportunity to share and discuss. \nPlease note that this event is open to professionals and students. DESCRIPTION:This international conference will mark the second edition of ENLIGHT Cancer Days\, following the first edition held in Bordeaux in September 2023\, which brought together participants from five European universities. \nThe 2026 edition will be the highlight of the NetCare network (Network for Cancer Research and Education)\, which has recently received funding and been recognized as a new ETN (European Thematic Network) within the ENLIGHT alliance\, which brings together 10 leading European universities. This alliance brings together the University of the Basque Country (Spain)\, the University of Bern (Switzerland)\, Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia)\, the University of Bordeaux (France)\, the University of Galway (Ireland)\, the University of Ghent (Belgium)\, the University of Göttingen (Germany)\, the University of Groningen (Netherlands)\, the University of Tartu (Estonia)\, and Uppsala University (Sweden). \n  \nThe BRIC unit is organizing this international conference on the topic of cancer in the heart of Bordeaux from October 28 to 30\, 2026\, at the Agora du Haut Carré in Talence \nThe scientific program will cover a range of innovative topics\, incorporating basic\, translational\, and clinical research. \nThe main goal of the conference is to strengthen scientific collaboration in the long term by fostering greater interaction among partner teams. \nRegistration and abstract submissions for poster and flash presentations are now open! \nRegistrations \n  \nDeadlines: \nAbstract submissions for posters and flash presentations: August 31\, 2026\, extended to September 11\, 2026\nRegistration : 30-09-2026 \n  \nContact : enlight.netcare-bordeaux@diff.u-bordeaux.fr \n  \n \n  \n
