The BORDEAUX INSTITUTE OF ONCOLOGY (BRIC U1312, https://www.bricbordeaux.com/) is seeking to recruit a new Principal Investigator to develop innovative research programs on the biology and treatment of cancer.
BRIC is a recently established research unit in Bordeaux that is dedicated to cancer research. Its research program includes genetic and molecular oncogenesis, tumor heterogeneity and microenvironment, and defining the mechanisms of resistance. BRIC unites 12 research teams and is currently located at the University of Bordeaux with state-of-the-art core facilities available. To translate basic research findings, BRIC operates in close collaboration with clinical partners at the University Hospital of Bordeaux (CHU) and the Institut Bergonié cancer hospital. The applicant should be an established researcher with a strong track record (last/corresponding author publications, experience in leading a team, international funding secured) who will develop an ambitious project that complements the BRIC research program. Candidates should meet criteria to compete for a principal investigator position at INSERM (DR2 job description). The appointed leader will be provided with a support package that includes appropriate office and lab space as well as start-up funding.
