{"id":48764,"date":"2025-02-04T17:26:56","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:26:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/2025\/02\/prix-ruban-rose-avenir-dr-monica-arnedos-team-7-bric\/"},"modified":"2025-02-04T17:34:24","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T16:34:24","slug":"prix-ruban-rose-avenir-dr-monica-arnedos-team-7-bric","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/en\/2025\/02\/prix-ruban-rose-avenir-dr-monica-arnedos-team-7-bric\/","title":{"rendered":"Prix Ruban Rose Avenir &#8211; Dr Monica Arnedos, team 7 BRIC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Thursday January 16, <strong>the <a href=\"http:\/\/cancerdusein.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">association Ruban Rose<\/a><\/strong>, alongside <strong>Ya\u00ebl Braun-Pivet<\/strong>, President of the French National Assembly, organized the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancerdusein.org\/la-recherche\/les-laureats\/les-laureats-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>21\u1d49 edition of the Ruban Rose Awards and Bursaries for Breast Cancer Research<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are delighted to be able to count among the 4 Ruban Rose Avenir prizes, the project led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/people\/monica-arnedos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dr Monica Arnedos<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/bric-team\/equipe-7-cibler-la-transcription-dans-le-cancer-du-sein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BRIC team 7: Targeting Transcription in Breast Cancer<\/a>, with an endowment of 225,000 euros!<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48761\" style=\"width:424px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose-700x525.jpg 700w, https:\/\/cdn-bricbordeaux.onlc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/photo-ruban-rose.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MAESTRO project<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This project on metaplastic cancers<\/strong> brings together a consortium of doctors and researchers from several cancer centers, led by <strong>Dr Monica Arnedos<\/strong> &#8211; medical oncologist and head of the breast cancer research program at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bergonie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Institut Bergoni\u00e9<\/a><\/strong> and part of our unit&#8217;s Team 7. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The MAESTRO project<\/strong> aims to gain a better understanding of <strong>metaplastic breast cancers, which are rare and resistant to conventional treatments<\/strong>. This project collects clinical and genetic data to develop appropriate treatments. The study of 140 tumors will enable the design of new personalized therapies to improve patient prognosis. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project is in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centreleonberard.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leon BERARD center <\/a>in Lyon, and the<a href=\"https:\/\/curie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Institut CUR<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/curie.fr\/\">IE<\/a> in Paris.
