Many thanks to the SBM Department (Biological and Medical Sciences)<\/a> for their interview showcasing the Skin-iDISCO+<\/strong> protocol, an innovative tissue-clearing method developed by the “Cutaneous Lymphomas, Vascular Tumors, Tissue Engineering” group within Team 05 \u2013 Translational Research in Skin Cancer and Rare Skin Diseases<\/a><\/strong> of the BRIC. <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

The result of meticulous work, this technology renders the skin transparent to reveal its vascular network in three dimensions. This expertise opens up new perspectives not only in skin cancer research but also in broader fundamental research.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

This 3D imaging protocol, now shared with the scientific community, allows for a better understanding of tissue vascular architecture, leading to improved evaluation of treatment efficacy and more accurate characterization of diseases.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

The Skin-iDISCO+<\/strong> protocol was selected as one of the top protocols of the year<\/strong> and published in the journal STAR Protocols<\/em><\/strong>. A figure from the article, showing the 3D collagen network of the skin, was chosen as the cover image for the Editors Collection 2024<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Congratulations to scientists L\u00e9a Pechtimaldjian<\/a>, Muriel Cario<\/a>, Hamid-Reza Rezvani<\/a>, and Fran\u00e7ois Moisan<\/a> from Team 5, in collaboration with J\u00e9r\u00e9mie Teillon and S\u00e9bastien Marais from the Bordeaux Imaging Center<\/strong> (BIC)<\/a> and S\u00e9bastien Dupichaud from Zeiss Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

A remarkable initiative that reflects BRIC\u2019s commitment to developing cutting-edge tools in support of research and innovation.<\/p>\n\n
