Congratulations to Majid Khatib<\/a> and his partners on the FOCUS-4R project, which recently launched thanks to Horizon Europe<\/a><\/strong> funding under the 2024 call for proposals. <\/p>\n\n

The consortium for Team 2 (Reprogramming Tumor activitY and associated MicroEnvironment), led by Majid Khatib, brings together 12 partners from five countries: France, Portugal, Spain, Norway, and the Netherlands.Abstract:<\/p>\n\n

FOCUS-4R brings together 12 EU partners to reinforce Research and Innovation capacities in the EU Outermost Regions. It promotes emerging technologies aligned with the 4R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover), and supports ecosystems and entrepreneurship through sustained academia-industry collaborations. Majid\u2019s team, together with XenoFish<\/strong> (coordinated by G\u00e9raldine Siegfried<\/a>, Inserm), is leading a Work Package focused on translational research into the prognostic and therapeutic roles of convertase-mediated protein maturation such as Furin, PCSK7, and PCSK9 in digestive cancers and immunotherapy.<\/p>\n\n

Ce projet s\u2019inscrit dans la dynamique de recherche europ\u00e9enne du BRIC et est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans le livret publi\u00e9 par l’Inserm \u201cSuccessful Researchers in European Projects\u201d<\/em>, mettant en avant les chercheurs Inserm impliqu\u00e9s dans des projets europ\u00e9ens.<\/p>\n\n
