Find information on our website dedicated to the general public: <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a  itemprop=\"url\" href=\"https:\/\/patients-recherche.bricbordeaux.com\/event\/journee-portes-ouvertes-le-31-janvier-2025-recherches-et-innovations-sur-les-cancers-digestifs\/\" target=\"_blank\"  class=\"qbutton  center default\" style=\"\">patient website<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This initiative, which is fully in line with the goal of scientific outreach, aims to introduce the general public, in a variety of formats, to the daily lives of researchers and recent advances in the field of digestive cancer research. The programme includes :<\/p>\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">&#13;\n<li>Continuous <strong>reception <\/strong>(except from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.)<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li><strong>Seminars<\/strong> on the Cancer Research\/Care and Innovation Ecosystem in the Region (11 a.m. and 2 p.m.)<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Interactive <strong>guided tours<\/strong> of the laboratory, including 3 workshops:\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">&#13;\n<li>Workshop: \u201cDiscovering Living Cells\u201d<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li>Workshop: \u201cThe journey of a sample\u201d: from biopsy to treatment<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li>Escape Game Workshop<\/li>&#13;\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li><strong>Workshops<\/strong> on \u201cObservation of tumor tissues\u201d (ongoing)<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li>Exchange activity: \u201cAsk all your questions\u201d (ongoing)<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li>Guided <strong>discoveries <\/strong>into the mechanisms of cancer, drug development, and various therapies. (ongoing)<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li><strong>Stand<\/strong> of the <strong>Gironde Cancer League<\/strong> (continuous)<\/li>&#13;\n\r\n\r\n&#13;\n<li><strong>Discovery<\/strong> of a biological model (ongoing)<\/li>&#13;\n<\/ul>\r\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tours departing<\/strong> with workshop participation at <strong>10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m<\/strong>. <strong>Other activities ongoing<\/strong> throughout the day.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Come and discuss, around posters or mini-seminars, with various contributors involved in the research<\/strong>: &#8211; <strong>Academic research<\/strong> professionals (researchers and teacher-researchers, engineers and technicians, doctoral students and interns) &#8211; <strong>Clinical research<\/strong> professionals &#8211; <strong>Clinicians<\/strong>, including surgeons and oncologists<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Patient <strong>associations<\/strong>, including<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ligue-cancer33.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> La Ligue Contre le Cancer de Gironde <\/a><\/strong>(the Gironde Cancer League) and a start-up company spun off from the laboratory, will also be present!<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come <strong>visit the laboratory<\/strong> and take the opportunity to put on a lab coat and gloves and participate in fun workshops! This project is led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/bric-team\/liver-cancers-and-tumor-invasion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">teams 3<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/bric-team\/equipe-4-cancers-digestifs-associes-a-linfection-par-helicobacter-cellules-souches-cancereuses-et-strategies-therapeutiques\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricbordeaux.com\/bric-team\/equipe-8-biotherapies-genetique-et-oncologie-biogo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">8<\/a> at BRIC, in collaboration with several supervisory bodies (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inserm.fr\/delegation\/nouvelle-aquitaine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inserm<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.u-bordeaux.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Bordeaux<\/a>) and scientific partners: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chu-bordeaux.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(Bordeaux University Hospital<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tbmcore.cnrs.fr\/oncoprot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OncoProt<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/beliver.fr\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BeLiver<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bergonie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bergoni\u00e9 Institute<\/a>).<\/p>&#13;\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>&#13;\n<p>Access:<\/p>&#13;\n<p>\ud83d\ude98Apart from the parking spaces reserved for university staff (badge required), you will find spaces closer by on the sidewalk along the wall on Rue du Dr Hoffmann Martinot.
