DESCRIPTION:Violaine Moreau et Clotilde Billottet\, équipe 3 invitent Vincent Hyenne à donner un séminaire. \nVincent Hyenne est responsable du groupe EXPLORE au sein de Tumor Biomechanics lab\, INSERM UMR_S1109\, Centre de Recherche en Biomédecine de Strasbourg. \nLe groupe EXPLORE étudie la préparation des niches métastatiques par les vésicules extracellulaires. \nTitre du séminaire : Tumor-derived extracellular vesicles facilitate metastasis onset. \nRésumé \nTumor extracellular vesicles (EVs) promote tumor growth and metastasis by mediating the communication between cancer cells and stromal cells. Yet\, how they are generated and how they spread in the organism to modify the microenvironment in distant organs remains unclear. In the past\, we found that Ral GTPases regulate EVs secretion by maintaining the homeostasis of their compartments of origin\, the multivesicular bodies (MVBs). To explore the molecular and cellular mechanisms through which RalA/B drive exosome secretion\, we characterized their proximal interactome and identified EHD4 as a new Ral partner involved in EV secretion. Using various photonic and electronic imaging approaches\, we propose that Ral-dependent recruitment of EHD4 to MVBs promotes their maturation and movement. In parallel\, we are investigating the function of tumor EVs in the formation of pre-metastatic niches. Combining zebrafish and mouse models\, we show that tumor EVs induce a fast mobilization and activation of neutrophils\, which facilitate metastasis initiation. \nBiographie \nVincent loves watching and imaging living (and anesthetized) animals. He did his PhD in Jussieu\, Paris on epithelial polarity in mouse early embryonic development (B. Maro lab). He then moved to IRIC (Labbé lab\, Montreal\, Québec) where he studied the establishment of cell polarity\, and its link with vesicular trafficking in C. elegans. Back in France at the IGBMC (Labouesse lab\, Illkirch)\, he got fascinated by exosomes and extracellular vesicles (EVs) and identified new genes required for their secretion in C. elegans. He joined the Tumor Biomechanics lab\, where he got recruited at CNRS in 2016 to study the secretion\, spreading and function of tumor EVs in metastasis in mice and zebrafish. He is in charge of the fish facility and has to admit that zebrafish\, also not being a nematode\, is pretty cool. Vincent is a board member of the French Society of Extracellular Vesicles (FSEV) and the REVE (Réseau Est des Vésicules Extracellulaires). Vincent loves nothing more than traveling with his family\, except maybe a good book\, or a basketball game\, or a glass of good wine. \n

SUMMARY:Rencontres Recherche Clinique et Translationelle BRIC - 01-10-2026
DESCRIPTION:BRIC organise une demi-journée dédiée à la recherche clinique et translationnelle le jeudi 1er octobre 2026\, de 14h à 17h30\, dans l’amphithéâtre du rez-de-chaussée du BBS  organisées en collaboration avec l’Institut Bergonié et le CHU de Bordeaux.  \nCet après-midi a pour objectif de mieux faire connaître la place de la recherche clinique et translationnelle au sein de notre unité. Il réunira les interventions de cliniciens du BRIC ainsi que des internes de Master 2 encadrés dans les équipes\, afin d’illustrer la diversité des parcours\, des thématiques et des approches développés à l’interface entre clinique et recherche. Pour les plus jeunes\, nous présenterons également les offres de formation des masters « Cancer Biology » et  « Innovation en santé – axe oncologie ». \nAu-delà de la présentation de projets\, cette rencontre a aussi pour ambition de montrer comment la recherche clinique et translationnelle peut s’articuler avec des travaux plus fondamentaux\, et d’ouvrir des échanges autour de ces complémentarités au sein du BRIC. \nCette demi-journée sera également l’occasion de mettre en lumière les réflexions et travaux menées au sein du groupe Patients-Société. \n  \nPré programme \n  \nNous espérons vous voir nombreux pour ce temps de partage et de discussion. \nAttention\, cet évènement est ouvert aux professionnels et étudiants. DESCRIPTION:Ce colloque international constituera la deuxième édition des ENLIGHT Cancer Days\, faisant suite à la première édition organisée à Bordeaux en septembre 2023\, qui avait réuni les participants issus de cinq universités européennes. \nL’édition 2026 représentera le temps fort du réseau NetCare (Network for Cancer Research and Education)\, récemment financé et reconnu comme nouveau réseau ETN (European Thematic Network) au sein de l’alliance ENLIGHT\, qui fédère dix universités européennes d’excellence.
