2024 Call for Applications – Junior Researcher

The BORDEAUX INSTITUTE OF ONCOLOGY (BRIC U1312, https://www.bricbordeaux.com/) is seeking to recruit a new Junior Researcher to develop innovative research programs on the biology and treatment of cancer within one of the existing BRIC teams.

BRIC is a recently established research unit in Bordeaux that is dedicated to cancer research. Its research program includes genetic and molecular oncogenesis, tumor heterogeneity and microenvironment, and defining the mechanisms of resistance. BRIC unites 12 research teams and is currently located at the University of Bordeaux with state-of-the-art core facilities available. To translate basic research findings, BRIC operates in close collaboration with clinical partners at the University Hospital of Bordeaux (CHU) and the Institut Bergonié cancer hospital. Profil recherché

The applicant must have a strong track record and will develop an ambitious project that complements the BRIC research program. Candidates should have or meet criteria to compete for a permanent research position. The appointed researcher will be provided with a support package that includes appropriate office and lab space as well as start-up funding commensurate with experience.

Eligibility: candidates must have a PhD or equivalent diploma

-Concise CV (2 pages)
-Complete list of publications, highlighting the 5 most significant works
-Abstract of project to be developed at BRIC
-Project description including objectives, rationale, and methodology, highlighting the novelty and feasibility, added value to the BRIC network, and how the BRIC might serve this project (5 pages)
-Description of previous research and other related activities (up to 2 pages)
