14 Oct Round table collaboration between patients and researchers
On the occasion of its launch, the Bordeaux Institute of Oncology (BRIC) organized, following a series of conferences, a round table for the general public where patient associations and researchers discussed the importance of their collaboration.
This cooperation allows patients to better understand how donations are used, what the research protocols are, how to decipher the results obtained, what happens to biopsies for which they have given their consent, etc.
This collaboration has led to the emergence of the notion of the patient as partner and allows researchers, through the proximity thus created with patients, to humanize their daily work by making the scope of their discoveries more tangible.
