This event is part of the technology seminar organized by our BRIC unit (BoRdeaux Institute of onCology), in collaboration with COMSOL France.
This hybrid format seminar is available online and is open to scientists from the Biological and Medical Sciences Department (SBM) at the University of Bordeaux.
Presentation by Fatma Khannous, Applications Engineer at COMSOL France.
Objective:
Present the benefits of digital simulation and virtual experimentation in the field of oncology through concrete case studies. Provide an overview of the COMSOL Multiphysics graphical interface and the functionalities relevant to R&D challenges in this sector.
Method :
The presentation will consist of an introduction to numerical simulation with COMSOL Multiphysics and its application to cancer research, illustrated by a demonstration in the software’s graphical interface.
Indicative content :
– Introduction to numerical simulation
– User cases in the field of oncology
– Demonstration of COMSOL Multiphysics on a model of active ingredient transport in biological tissues.
Several topics will be covered in the presentation, including simulation of pharmacokinetics, molecule and cell transport (advection, diffusion, migration), and simulation of tumor ablation techniques.
Equipment and logistics :
Hybrid format in the BBS conference room, 2 rue Dr Hoffmann Martinot Bordeaux
