From July 8 to 11, 2025, Bordeaux will host the 2025 edition of JOBIM (Journées Ouvertes en Biologie, Informatique et Mathématiques) — a major event for the French-speaking bioinformatics community. This year’s conference will take place at LaBRI (Bordeaux Computer Science Research Laboratory), bringing together researchers, engineers, PhD students, and professionals from both digital and life sciences to explore the latest developments in the field.

Through the ODIL unit (Omics Data Integration & visuaLization), BRIC’s internal bioinformatics cell, two of our members are currently part of the event’s organizing committee:

• Cyril Dourthe, bioinformatics research engineer (BRIC and OncoProt platform)
• Élodie Darbo, research engineer in Team 7 – Targeting Transcription in Breast Cancer

Their involvement reflects the growing role of bioinformatics in oncology research, particularly in the work carried out within our laboratory, where the analysis of large-scale data from RNA-seq, epigenomics, and cell modeling has become an essential foundation.

Held at the crossroads of biology, mathematics, and computer science, the JOBIM conference offers a rich program of talks, workshops, roundtables, and networking opportunities. The 2025 edition promises excellent visibility for research conducted in our region and for all stakeholders driving innovation in health.
