During the Scientific Day of the Life and Health Sciences Doctoral School, the Monique Garnier-Semancik 2022 Thesis Prize was awarded to Julian Boutin for the excellence of his research work on “Securing gene therapy by CRISPR-Cas9 in red blood cell pathologies”.
Julian did his thesis in the Biotherapie team of the ex BMGIC – U1035, directed by François Moreau-Gaudry. He defended his thesis in November 2021 and is still part of the team now named Biotherapies Genetics and Oncology #BioGO (team 8) within our unit BRIC-BoRdeaux Institute of onCology.
Julian holds a position at the Bordeaux University Hospital and in research. He is currently a University Hospital Practitioner.
